We Fit Your Business

CUSTOM CLOSURE PROCESS

Our Engineering Group works closely with your project team on a custom project and can take it from concept to consumer. We understand that speed is frequently a significant factor in your offering's success. Before commencing any custom closure project, our Engineering Group makes certain they have a clear understanding of your timeline and expectations on project milestone target dates. We make every effort to let our customer demands drive the timeline for the project. We typically follow a four stage process for custom closure projects.

1. Product Design
If you have a concept or a goal, we work closely with you to turn it into reality. Secondly, we make a solid part model to ensure it is aesthetically appealing and to confirm certain dimensional features related to functionality. The deliverables in this stage typically include the 3-dimensional CAD model and a design drawing. Depending on the intensity of the design and functionality and your competitive landscape, patents may also be filed at this stage.

2. Single Unit Prototyping
Once the 3-dimensional CAD model and a design drawing are approved, we then commence work on the single unit prototype phase. At this phase, we typically start to manage the relationship with an approved mold maker from quote to mold completion on behalf of our customer. We work with the selected mold maker very closely during this phase before giving our authorization to manufacture the mold components. Once the components are complete, the single unit cavity tool is sampled. The produced parts are sent to our corporate offices where they are inspected and rigorously tested by our Engineering Group. If any modifications are required, we work with the selected mold maker to perform them in this prototype stage. This is repetitive stage until the parts are successfully tested and ultimately approved by our customer.

3. Production Tooling
Once the prototype parts are approved, we then authorize the selected mold maker to begin the production tool(s). The size and quantity of tool(s) is based primarily on the quantity of parts required per year. Once the production tool(s) is complete, we then sample it in house, perform inspection of the parts and finally field test our production.

4. Ongoing Technical Support
Once the closure is completed, we continue the relationship with our ongoing technical support. Members of our Technical Service team are present for all start up runs to ensure the parts are functioning properly and that all line equipment is configured appropriately. They are highly experienced in all types of blow mold, capping and filler equipment and will make any necessary modifications or recommendations to your equipment in order to obtain higher efficiencies. Furthermore, we provide free continuous service visits to your plant(s) typically once every quarter for the life of our arrangement.

Quality
We do not consider quality to be a separate stage in our custom closure process, but rather a permanent fixture embedded in our company's culture. Rest assured your project will be handled with the highest level of quality available in today's marketplace. Please click here for additional information on our quality overview and certifications.
